Two Fraudsters and a vehicle lifter having 16 FIRs arrested by Nagrota Police

On 25.05.2019, Police party of PP Sidhra apprehended one Tata Mobile bearing registration no. JK02CA/5132 loaded with Bovine animals at naka point Sidhra Bridge and arrested accused namely *Zahoor Ahmed S/O Mohd. Shafi R/O Chak Dablehar, Teh. R.S. Pura Distt. Jammu.* On this, Case FIR No. 221/2019 U/S 188/RPC 3/5 PCA Act was registered at P/S Nagrota.

During the course of investigation, the accused person produced one permission issued by worthy DC Jammu regarding transportation of Bovine animal. Apparently, permission looked fake. Permission was scrutinized which turned out to be fake.

During questioning, the accused disclose that he took permission from one *Bipin Singh S/O Pritpal Singh R/O Trikuta Nagar* . Bipin Singh was immediately apprehended and on his sustained questioning he disclosed that he used to make permissions/fake Registration certificates/fake driving licences/fake Insurance certificates/fake Route permits from one *Vikram Seth S/O Late Ramesh Kumar R/O H No. 116 Kachi Chhawni Jammu* . Vikram was immediately arrested and put to sustaining questioning during which he confessed his guilty of making Fake Registration certificates/fake driving licences/fake Insurance certificates/fake Route Permits.

Police parties headed by SDPO Nagrota Sh. Mohan Lal, SHO Nagrota Insp. Deepak Pathania & I/C PP Sidhra SI Parvez Ahmed along with Naib Tehsildar, Nagrota Sh. Dinesh Anthal conducted raid at his rented shop at Paloura and recovered *complete computer set along with two printers, scanner, fake Driving Licences, Fake Pan cards, Stamps of different departments* from his shop which were seized on spot in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class.

During the course of sustained questioning, the accused persons admitted their guilty. The investigation is in progress and more arrests cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile a Notorious vehicle lifter/shop breaker arrested by Nagrota Police,16 FIRs were registered against vehicle lifter, 30 vehicles stolen

On 12.06.2019, Police party led by ASI Kartar Singh along with Ct Sobat Ali & SPO Avinash Sharma was on Night patrolling duty, police party apprehended one suspect while he was breaking open the locks of a shop at Majeen. On this, Case FIR No. 248/2019 U/S 379/511/RPC was registered at P/S Nagrota and investigation set into motion.

During the course of sustained questioning, he disclosed his name as *Darshan Singh @ Malothu S/O Ramesh Singh, Caste Rajput R/O Vill. Marta Teh. Ramnagar Distt Udhampur* & turned out to be a notorious vehicle lifter against whom 15 cases have already been registered in different police stations. The detail of cases is as follow :

On one occasion when police team went to arrest him, he attacked police party with axe. He has so terrorized people that he used to break 5/6 shops in one single night.

On his disclosure, 01 Maruti Van no. JK14D/3744 has been recovered and more recoveries/arrests are expected within days.

Police teams led by SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma along with SHO Nagrota and I/C PP Sidhra SI Parvez Ahmed Khandey made the arrest/recovery.

People have heaved a sigh of relief after his arrest and appreciated efforts of police for its proactive approach.
